Features
The Compass has all the features you'd ever need on your daily drive. You can connect to your Apple or Android smartphone, control the temperature inside the car, and more right through the touchscreen Uconnect system. It even has built-in navigation on some trims. The SiriusXM Guardian service lets you start your vehicle remotely, locate your vehicle, and more from your phone. Your passengers can connect to the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot if they lose service on a long drive. It works with up to eight devices, so no one inside the SUV will be bored on the go.
With the Alpine premium audio system, you can hear the music clearly no matter where you are in the cabin. The dual-zone automatic temperature control system is now standard on all trims. That means you and your passenger won't have to fight over how hot or cold it is in the cabin. When the weather is cold, the heated side mirrors will clear away ice and frost. The power liftgate opens with your foot. You can easily load unload your belongings when your hands are full. You can also lock and unlock the doors from up to 60 feet away with the key fob.
Performance
This great SUV has the top-notch power and capability that Jeep is known for. The 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir 2 engine puts out 180 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft. of torque. It can also tow up to 2,000 pounds. The 4x4 Selec-Terrain traction management system lets you adjust your Compass to meet a wide variety of road conditions. It has auto, snow, sand and mud modes, and an available rock mode.
The 4x4 systems give you the most possible traction on almost any terrain. You'll be ready for serious off-roading adventures and unpredictable weather year-round. Trailhawk models have hill descent control, which monitors your throttle, speed and braking when you're on steep declines. It also applies your brakes for you so you can focus on your steering when driving down the slope. The Compass even gets an impressive 31 MPG on the highway*.
Interior
The new Compass is just as stylish on the inside as it is on the outside. Every model has soft cloth or leather-trimmed seats, and different seat color and stitching options. Your passengers will love all the head and leg room in the back. They'll be able to stretch out and relax on any drive. The trunk has tons of room for luggage, camping supplies, and more. There's even an adjustable cargo floor.
If you need more cargo space, you can fold down one or both sides of the 60/40 split-folding rear seat. Whatever gear you want to bring with you, there's a variety of ways to store it all. Some trims have heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. No matter how cold it is outside, you'll stay warm and cozy inside the SUV. And, there's an dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Safety
Jeep has packed over 70 standard available safety and security features into the Compass. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross path detection will tell you know when there's a vehicle in one of your blind spot zones. If you're getting too close to another vehicle, full-speed forward collision warning with active braking can slow down your SUV to help you avoid an accident.
The ParkSense rear park assist system makes it super easy to parallel park. And, the automatic high-beam headlamps will give you a wider view of the road when there are no other vehicles around. There's also LaneSense lane departure warning with lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, a ParkView rear back up camera, and an SOS call button.
