Features
The 2021 Durango wows with its long list of standard and available entertainment, comfort, and technology features. First, there's a Uconnect system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and SiriusXM Radio. There's also a Uconnect 5 system with a super impressive 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and built-in navigation.
The Uconnect voice command system lets you make a phone call, play a song, and more while keeping your eyes on the road. With the wireless charging pad, you can leave your cords at home and still keep your phone battery full. There are also charging ports in the second row. Your passengers will also love the dual-screen DVD entertainment center. They can enjoy their favorite movies and TV shows on the go.
And, there's convenient remote vehicle start and push button start. The Durango's exterior has LED daytime running lamps and fog lamps and Class-Exclusive LED racetrack taillamps. Some models also come with automatic high-beam headlamps and LED front turn signals. And, you can pack things on top of the SUV with the Stow N Place roof racks. They can support up to 150 pounds of cargo.
Performance
The new Durango is a great family car that packs so much power on and off the road. There are four available engines. The base 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 puts out 295 horsepower, and it can tow up to 6,200 pounds. The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 gets you 360 horsepower, and the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 delivers 475 horsepower. If you go with the top-of-the-line supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, you'll get an amazing 710 horsepower.
All three V8s can tow a whopping 8,700 pounds. You can haul just about anything. Each engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. You can easily shift gears and pick up more speed with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The first six trims come with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and SRT models have standard all-wheel drive. You can tackle so many great outdoor adventures with either configuration. And, the SRT Hellcat is the quickest standard three-row SUV ever.
Interior
You'll fall in love with the new Durango as soon as you step inside the cabin. It has up to three rows of seating, and it can fit up seven people, so there's plenty of room for your whole family. There are over 50 possible seating configurations. You can adjust to however much passenger or cargo space you need on each drive. If you need even more room for cargo, there are second-row fold and tumble seats and 60/40 split-folding third-row seats.
The fold and tumble seats also make it super easy for passengers to get in and out of the third row. The heated and ventilated front seats will keep you warm and cozy in winter or cool and comfortable on a hot summer's day. You get to choose from 15 different seat color and stitching options to personalize your ride. If you want to make the cabin feel even more luxurious, you can add on leather-trimmed seats.
Safety
The 2021 Durango will always keep you and your loved ones safe in unexpected situations. The adaptive cruise control lets you maintain a set speed when traffic is clear. Or, you can choose a pre-selected distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you. It can also stop your vehicle if needed. Blind spot monitoring will tell you when there are other vehicles around you that you might not see.
The forward collision warning will keep you from getting too close to the car in front of you. And, lane departure warning will keep you from drifting out of your lane and hitting other vehicles. There are even more great safety features, like advanced brake assist, electronic roll mitigation, rain brake support, and electronic brake force distribution.
