What’s that? New spy photos of the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler? You don’t say! What kind of groundbreaking new additions will we see added to this classic off-roader? Well, not many from the looks of things. But that’s the way Jeep owners like it! It appears as though the new Wrangler will bring some interior upgrades and possible new removable roof panels, but overall it will stay true to the already-awesome Wrangler design.
In the spy photos we can see a decent amount of the interior of the SUV, but as usual the exterior is well camouflaged. If we compare and contrast the spy photos with the current interior of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler, we can indeed see some minor changes. It appears as though some buttons and knobs have been moved around. Overall the center console looks pretty similar to the current one, which is a good thing for drivers who already love the Wrangler’s rugged interior.
The Wrangler interior is meant to be as rugged as the exterior is, which is something that sets it apart from the competition. One of the only problems with adding more technology to the inside of the Wrangler is that there is more to get potentially ruined by weather. This is an SUV that can be doorless, topless, and even completely hosed out, so weather proofing is super important. Some are hoping that the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be even more weather proof and even have the option of a more bare minimum interior.
Of course for those who love the Wrangler more for the look than for function, there will likely still be many upgrade options like there currently are with the available Radio 430 touchscreen system. Something else that looks new from these spy photos are the roof panels.
Some are speculating that these panels may be a Wrangler version of the Renegade’s “My Sky” roof, which is basically a convertible top. In the spy photos there are some interesting looking buttons on the roof, which some think may be what controls the new roof panels. However we can’t be fully sure about this new roof until better photos come out.
It appears as though the dash panel will body colored as well, like the red dash you see in the photos, which will really look amazing. Overall it looks like Jeep is making the right moves for the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler. It seems as though they know how great the 2017 Jeep Wrangler already is, and are just making minor improvements and adding new options here and there. Some are hoping for the possibility of a diesel engine with the new Wrangler, but until it’s officially released we’ll just have to have fun speculating and wondering as usual.
