In a recent announcement from Jeep, Jeep confirmed the production of the new Jeep Wagoneer, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and a Jeep pickup truck. In recent years, Jeep has been making huge upgrades and expansions to their lineup. To expand their current lineup, Jeep announced a $1 billion investment in their Michigan and Ohio production plants to expand and modify for the new Jeep models. The new investment will create more than 2,000 U.S. jobs.
Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer
The Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer are classic namesakes that revive the feeling of older times. One of the most notable features of the classic Wagoneers were their available wooden side panels. Its very unlikely that we’ll see that in the newer models, but you can expect a third-row seat. Jeep hasn’t offered a vehicle with a third-row seat since 2010 when they offed the Jeep Commander. The Grand Wagoneer is expected to be a good bit larger than the current Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it’ll probably be priced a good bit higher to match. The new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be a welcome addition to the Jeep lineup.
Jeep Pickup Truck
Very little is known about the Jeep Pickup Truck other than it’s production will take place in the south plant of the Toledo Assembly Complex in Ohio. A new Jeep pickup truck has been a huge topic of discussion among Jeep enthusiasts. Jeep lovers have been asking for one for years, and they’re finally going to get one. However, this announcements comes with the unfortunate news that we probably won’t be seeing any of these new Jeeps until 2020 for the 2021 model year. Either way, we’ll hang tight.
