It’s that time of year again for off-road enthusiasts from all over! The 53rd Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari recently took the yearly trek out to the famous stomping grounds in the desert to show off six unique concept vehicles. Every year, Jeep and Mopar brands join forces to create incredible custom builds and show off their capability during a week of technical off-roading challenges. The Moab, Utah park is home to some of the most challenging and scenic terrain in the country, and offers the perfect place to let Jeeps off the leash!
This year’s Moab Easter Jeep Safari featured two concept models of the all-new Jeep Gladiator, as well as other mods and mixes of classic styling and Mopar accessories. The Jeep Wayout shows off an overlanding vehicle concept, taking advantage of the all-new Gladiator’s class-leading payload rating. It features a full roof-top tent and a custom large canopy to allow you to venture further off the beaten path and set up camp wherever you go.
The other all-new Jeep Gladiator concept is designed with the desert lifestyle in mind. The Jeep Flatbill concept mixes the extreme thrills of the Motocross world to give a rowdy and loud appearance that also acts as the ultimate hauler. Its vented carbon hood, high-clearance flares, shortened front bumper, and skid plate improve the approach angle, and it’s fully equipped for transporting dirt bikes toward off-road adventure.
The Jeep M-715 Five-Quarter continues the Easter Jeep Safari “Resto-Mod” tradition. It’s a seamless blend of modern and vintage components, based on a Gladiator and transformed into a military showpiece vehicle. With enhanced off-road capability, carbon-fiber additions, and a reinforced frame and suspension system, this concept Jeep also has a supercharged “Hellcrate” HEMI V-8 engine ready to roar under the hood.
A mix of classic Jeep styling of the late 70s and prototype and production Mopar parts makes up the Jeep J6 concept. This Jeep Safari addition is a customized two-door Rubicon that maximizes cargo space with a functional truck bed. It adds a blast from the past with custom Metallic Brilliant Blue paint straight from the 1978 Jeep Honcho.
The Jeep JT Scrambler concept offers some capable nostalgia with a heritage-inspired remix of the classic CJ Scrambler truck. It’s outfitted with Jeep Performance Parts from a customized bed to the impressive array of LED lights stationed on the sport roll bar and the brush guard. This retro look comes complete with a white exterior and Punk’N Metallic Orange and Nacho body-side stripes running from the front panels to the bed, and a matching hood graphic.
Last but not least, the Jeep Gladiator Gravity concept is rock-climber themed and ready to go. It’s equipped with a full set of available-at-launch Jeep Performance Parts from Mopar to enhance its capability and versatility. The Gladiator Gravity offers tons of open-air potential with two-inch round steel tube doors, a mesh sunbonnet that provides cover while keeping the top-down feel, and tie-down straps that secure the windshield when lowered. It’s also raised with a two-inch lift kit, and delivers storage in the bed area for tons of climbing gear and adventuring equipment.
